Bloody Rice Pudding Recipe (8 servings) 🥛🫙🍚🪄💫🕷️🕸️👻🎃
Ingredients:
🍚 200g round grain rice
🥛 1L whole or semi-skimmed milk
🪄 1 vanilla bean
🫙 80g granulated white sugar
Preparation
🎃 Boil a large quantity of water. Immerse the rice for 2 minutes, then rinse with cold water and drain.
👻 In a large saucepan, pour the milk, the split vanilla bean, and bring the mixture to a boil.
🎃 Add the rice and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring gently from time to time. Stir in the sugar and simmer for another 5 minutes.
️👻Remove the vanilla bean and pour the rice into individual ramekins.
🎃Let cool before serving.
*I recommend preparing this dessert the day before. Once chilled, the rice will continue to absorb the milk and thicken slightly.

You can, like me, make a sugar syrup with a few drops of red food coloring (https://aupalaisdesfinsgourmets.com/products/colorant-alimentaire-gel?_pos=1&_fid=4ae69ca77&_ss=c). I then poured it onto parchment paper, and once set, I broke it into pieces. I poured a mixture of water, sugar, and coloring, then arranged my solidified syrup pieces on top.
Alternatively, you can garnish with orange zest, or add a red fruit coulis.
